Non IBANGS Members:

Non-members can effectively engage with the International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society (IBANGS) by leveraging the society’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and open scientific exchange. 

• Members of the Media interested in reaching out to IBANGS members for research or policy-related material can check out the Media page for contact information.

• To advance science advocacy, external stakeholders can partner with IBANGS members on joint public statements or community outreach programs that translate neurogenomic findings into actionable public health insights. 

• In the realm of teaching, educators can utilize the society’s curated educational materials or invite members for virtual guest lectures to bring cutting-edge behavioral genetics into the classroom. 

• Most importantly, for research, non-members are encouraged to reach out to IBANGS members for questions and invitations to give virtual seminars. We also encourage participation in the annual Genes, Brain and Behavior meeting, which serves as a prime networking hub for establishing cross-disciplinary pilot projects, finding mentors, and integrating diverse perspectives—such as behavioral neuroscience, psychology, molecular biology, ethics, or bioinformatics—into the core genetic frameworks championed by the society.
